Buying Local - You Know It Makes Sense

by Derek Mercer - 22:49 on 02 July 2023

It will always be the Victoria Hotel to me, even though its changed its name to the cook house. But its good to see businesses thriving in Rainhill and thats why buying local is so important.

Local businesses and local communities can only thrive by helping each other. So after a recent job in Rainhill I did some shopping in the Co-op opposite the Victoria Hotel.

Our family connection with Rainhill is from my Grandad and his family who lived in Victoria St, so they may have been in the Victoria Hotel or possibly the Commercial however one of the family my grandads brother Ralph never returned to St Helens after being killed in action in Burma in 1943.

Although we now live in Thatto Heath we are only 10 minutes away from Rainhill to help customers with any lock problems they may have and you can contact us on 07967 778940 and speak to either myself Derek or my wife Pam regarding any lock related issues, we will be happy to help.
