At Lockkeys Locksmith Services we have been providing Locksmith Training Courses for a number of years but are now please to announce that we are now a Highfield Qualifications Approved Centre which enables us to train the Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security (RQF) at the moment this is the only Ofqual Regulated Locksmith Course in the UK for further details please visit our training site at locksmithtrainingcourses.org.

Here at Lockkeys Locksmith Services we provide 3 locksmith courses

Locksmith Training Course With Qualification

At the moment there is only one Ofqual regulated training course for locksmiths and that is the Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security (RQF) this course is designed for those wishing to become locksmiths and or start a locksmith business.

This course on average will take 6-12 months to complete after the practical side, which takes place over 9 days at our workshop in St Helens, their is a requirement for the learner to complete a portfolio of evidence before the qualification is awarded by Highfield Qualifications who is the awarding body. Locksmith Training Course Without Qualification

This course covers 5 days practical training at our workshop in St Helens and leads to a in house certificate. The course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to start a locksmith business.

Qualified Route Locksmith Training Courses For Trading Locksmiths

This course is designed for trading locksmiths who wish to take the Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Commercial Locksmiths and Property Security (RQF).

On this course the Locksmith will receive recognition of prior learning (RPL) which means they may not need to do all of the practical training but will still need to complete a portfolio of evidence in order to achieve the award.

Lock Bumping Course

Our one day locks bumping course will teach you how lock bumping works, how to set up your bump keys and most importantly how to use your bump keys to open locks. The course will enable the learner to open more locks successfully using a non destructive method without the need for picking the lock.

All our Locksmith Training Courses are held at our training centre workshop in St Helens where visitors by appointment are welcome.
