How Do Locksmiths Keep Upto Date

As a locksmith in St Helens I like to keep myself updated about new locks on the market etc and I do this in a number of ways. Attending locksmith exhibilition is one way, the latest one was in Nottingham March 2025. Other ways include our locksmith Whatsapp group were like minded locksmiths share knowledge and experience in the trade. We also learn from locksmith magazines (yes they exist) and with direct emails from manufacturers who keep us updated with changes in the lock manufacturing world.
Although there is many good videos on youtube locksmithing is not as easy as it seems and requires knowledge and experience especially when things go wrong with a lock.
