Rogue locksmiths dont let them pick your pockets. Unfortunately because lockmithing is unlicensed and not regulated in the UK there is rogue locksmiths who advertise their services. So how can you avoid calling a rogue locksmith ? One of the best ways is by using local locksmiths and avoiding the sponsored listings at the top of google who have to pay a lot of money to appear at the top of the listings. Another way is to confirm the price over the phone ask for the name of the locksmith attending and then get them to reconfirm the price before any work is started. Most local locksmiths will not charge a call out fee and will be able to provide you with a quote over the phone and will confirm the price once they see the work required.
